I guess you are "Playing games"

I guess we were playing games at the tea parties. Do you get the feeling that just maybe President Obama doesn't value your liberty? He just blew off all the people that went to the Tea Parties. He also ditched all the Fox News watchers, kinda makes you wonder if he has any connection to GE/NBC the "green" company with all the love MSNBC gives him. The President returns love in the way of pushing cap and trade (GE being one of the big wind-solar guys). I just can't wait till 2010 to start voting out his "Posse" in the House and Senate.

RINO no more!

Finally after 30 years, Arlen Specter finally admits he is a Democrat. It has been a long time coming he has been voting like a Democrat for 30 years and now he can have that official D placed behind his name. Now maybe Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe will do the same thing and we can get back to conservative principles in the Republican party.
Specter says the party is moving too far right. As for me the party is moving too far left. I think it is a blessing to get the dead weight out of the party, so we it can become the conservative party that Ronald Reagan envisioned.

In case you want to get mad, I mean real mad.

This video will make you so mad, so take a Valium before you watch this.

To Ms. Garofalo: You have lost one consumer to your products. Never again will I watch a movie or television show where you are a part. I will boycott sponsors to your show(s) and let them know that I will. I may not have much pull in the whole scope of things but I am going to do what I can to stop stupidity, like Garofalo's message. About your "point" that I am a racist redneck, you are simply incorrect. It is not about racism, it is about poor policy.

Saying that Fox News does not have a cerebral electorate, is saying that the 5 people that are watching MSNBC are the only ones that have a brain, and the huge ratings from Fox News are idiots. Lets also remember that there were 55,000,000 who did not agree with the Presidential choice last November.

Ms. Garofalo, did you forget that you work at a job that is based solely for the approval of an audience? So you just alienated 1/2 of the country, good career move. I can not say anymore for fear of saying something inappropriate.

What were the tea parties about?

I've been thinking about what were the Tea Parties about....

The tea parties in 2009, seemed to be about everything. Don't get me wrong, I think everything brought up at the tea parties are valid issues. I just think that we as Americans are trying to fight a battle on too many fronts. I think that if you throw out too many issues to solve at one time, people confuse the issues, or get frustrated and just give up trying to change anything.

The point I'm trying to make is that, I think we need to hone our message that we need to get across to the politicians and the American public. Is the message that we get taxed too much or is it the bailout of everybody? Is illegal immigration the primary focus? Wars in two countries? Tax code? Cap and Trade? The recession? Socialism vs. Capitalism? I know it is frustrating with all the issues facing this country, but if we take them one at a time we can get anything or everything done.

Maybe it is time to bring out some of those founding fathers ideas; dust them off and look at how they handled the many situations at the time. We can start with the the tea party held in 1773. That tea party was about taxation without representation, one point to bring about the change of an entire government and build and entire nation.

Our fault again.....

Because another government can not control the crime happening in their streets, it's out fault. Evidently the American people supply 90% of the guns used in Mexico and purchase all of our drugs there (does that mean that capitalism works?), which causes all the problems the Mexican people are having with the Border Wars.

First off I don't believe the statistic that we supply 90% of the guns. When any government tells you 90% of anything, it is wrong. The people that have the guns are criminals, do you think they might have stole them? Naa, that is to easy.

Second I am pretty sure we are not the only customers of Mexican drugs. I would bet that their are a few Mexicans that use drugs, how about Canadians, and other customers in countries south of Mexico? I would even guess that some of the 12 to 20 million Mexican criminals that broke into our land, use some of those drugs.

Now because we (Obama Administration) says it is all our fault that the Mexicans have a drug war, there will be large sums of money transferred from the nearly empty American coffers to that of the corrupt Mexican government. Great idea huh?

I have got an idea, this may be new to some, why doesn't the Mexican government spend our money securing their northern border, so none of those guns come into their country. Then maybe we could spend a like amount, securing our southern border to help stop the flow of illegal drugs and people from coming into the USA. That would just be to easy now wouldn't it?

95% of Americans

We are being told that 95% of Americans will get a tax cut. There are a few things wrong with this that I have found.

1) That promise has already been broken. They increased tobacco taxes. We all know it is not healthy to smoke, but 20 to 25% of this country does smoke. So already they have increased taxes on at least 20% of Americans, unless you are not American if you smoke.

2) Just the fairness of the statement. Why are we considering something that, in just the statement, promotes inequality. 95% is not 100% so I guess it is alright to discriminate against 5% of Americans. Why don't we make it a cool 100%.

3) 40% or better of Americans do not pay income taxes, they get a check from the government. So you can not lower taxes on someone who does not pay taxes. They call that a rebate.

4) I have not researched it but I wonder if the 95% tax cut includes the people in this country illegally.

I have read a bill that has been introduced into the House, HR25. That is the Fair Tax bill I believe it is fair and equitable for all Americans, cuts out the bureaucratic government, and forces illegal immigrants to pay their fair share. No Taxation Without Representation!

To me the tea parties are more about not being represented, yet still getting taxed. I am pretty sure everyone in this country understands we need to pay some sort of taxes in order for the Federal government to operate. What I do not understand is why when you send politicians to Washington they seem to quit representing me, an American. Here are some examples:

1) Do not read legislation before voting.
2) Allow for our borders to be breached.
3) Government takeover of private businesses.
4) Creating a tax code that even the head of the IRS can not figure out.
5) Endless spending of money without knowing where it is going.

That is just 5 examples, there are many, many more. I believe that the people in this country are all yelling the same thing that the colonists yelled 236 years ago in Boston...

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!

SO WE NEED TO PARTY LIKE IT WAS 1773.....

We Surround Them!

When I am feeling like I have been surrounded by a bunch of folks that are a bit left of center I think of a few quotes by a U.S. Marine General Chesty Puller:

1) "They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can't get away from us now!"

2) "So they've got us surrounded, good! Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards won't get away this time!"

3) "Our Country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any AMERICA because some foreign soldier will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!"

Remember the Grand Junction Tea Party - Noon on April 15th at Lincoln Park bandstand.

Also on April 15th at 6pm at the Lincoln Park barn is meeting of the 912 project group.

It has been difficult..

The last few days I have been finding it more and more difficult to write about politics. The reason is; I don't want to become an "Obama basher". It is not in my value system to put down a person because of their politics. The far left took up "Bush bashing" and I don't want to be one of those mean people who slam the President every chance I get, cause I don't agree with his politics. It is just that this particular President, seems to be leading us down a terrifying road. So I am going to try to say what I want to say, without my anger turning into vengeance because of what President Obama has done this last week has angered me to the core.

First the Ipod: Who gives the Queen of England an Ipod? I wonder if it was made in China?

Second: Who is arrogant enough to load their own speeches onto the Ipod?

Third: We have no war with Islam. Don't apologize.

Fourth: You are the President of the United States of America ---you don't bow to a foreign monarch.

Fifth: The Europeans look to us when they need protected, that is not arrogance, that is kindness and sacrifice for other humans.

Sixth: We dropped a bomb on Japan, yes while not a pleasant thing, it ended a war that if taken into the streets of Tokyo would have killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of both Americans and Japanese. Don't Apologize!

and the last thing that has angered me the most....

When you are invited to go see the graves of 9000 - 10,000 American men who gave their LIVES to free another country, GO! Their is no excuse for not going. The "it was out of the way" thing doesn't work, I think even I could make a 50 mile trip across the English channel, and I have to buy my own gas. Turkey is much further away and you made that trip.

I don't care if you don't want to offend the Germans! D-day happened, our men were killed. 6,000,000 Jews were killed, we freed the remaining Jews from certain death. Don't apologize!

Their are few German people alive today who thought that what the Nazi Party did was a good idea. They were doing what they were told, with honor. I think the German people understand that we did what we had to do, that's not offensive, it is just our nations honor. The only people you would be offending by going to the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach would be Nazi's, and I don't care if you offend a Nazi!

American Arrogance

Now we are told by our President that we are arrogant. Hum... Add that comment to the comments of being told we are cowards (Eric Holder) and responsible for a Mexican border war (Hillary Clinton); this makes me feel more than a little dejected by the current administration.

Let's go over how cowardice, arrogant and warmongering we are:

We liberated or protected these countries (That I can remember):

Cuba
France
England
Germany
Austria
Philippines
U.S.S.R. (and associated countries)
Iraq
Afghanistan
Panama
Kuwait
South Korea
South Vietnam

That is what I can remember for now, there are many more.

My grandpa's division (the 66th - Black Panthers) spent some time lobbing artillery shells at the Lorient sub pens in France during World War 2. They were there sent there instead of the Battle of the Bulge because on the way to the battle, in the English channel, one of the ships (Leopoldville) was sank by a German sub killing 800+ Americans. Were they arrogant? Were they cowards? Maybe just war-mongers...

My Father-in-law spend 23 years in the Navy on ships and C-130's during the Vietnam and Cold Wars. Is he arrogant?

My Step-brother was in Iran during the hostage crisis, was he a coward?

My Brother shot at Libyan planes on the wrong side of the "Line of Death". Was he a war-monger?

One of Pam's Grandpas, fought his way through the Philippines to liberate them. He must be arrogant.

Pam's other Grandpa landed in Northern France on June 6, 1944... a little place called Normandy. He must of done that out of cowardice, huh?

Let me tell you something, Mr. President, before you start calling us arrogant, cowards and war-mongers, think about the sacrifices that this country has given to the freedom and liberty of other countries. You actions are inexcusable, if you do not like this country why don't you leave; and leave us alone.

Shrink in Chief

The Government has now put together a website for all the people with emotional distress because of the recession. Great now government is meddling in my mental health. Maybe we can break down the psychological problems our Commander in Chief has, using his own web site:

Possible Health Risks:
Depression - From all the Cabinet members who haven't paid taxes.
Anxiety - From the House Republicans not just going along with King Berry I
Compulsive Behaviors - Over spending, breaking campaign promises
Substance Abuse - Our money

Warning Signs:

It is important to be aware of signs that financial problems may be adversely affecting your emotional or mental well being --or that of someone you care about. These signs include:

Persistent Sadness/Crying - Cries out loud to Americans at least a couple times a week more than any President in my lifetime.
Excessive Anxiety - Easy to see that when you are the head of a major corporation ...oops I mean country.
Lack of Sleep/Constant Fatigue - Is this where his new found grey hair is coming from?
Excessive Irritability/Anger - Outbursts at press
Increased drinking - He does seem to have lots of "meetings" in the White House
Illicit drug use, including misuse of medications - Barry's drug is our money
Difficulty paying attention or staying focused - Teleprompter use
Apathy - not caring about things that are usually important to you - The American people
Not being able to function as well at work, school or home - This is obvious

Managing Stress
If you or someone you care about is experiencing these symptoms, you are not alone. These are common reactions to stress, and there are coping techniques that you can use to help manage it.

They include:
Trying to keep things in perspective - recognize the good aspects of life and retain hope for the future. - Hope and Change

Strengthening connections with family and friends who can provide important emotional support. - Talking with North Korea, Iran, terrorists

Engaging in activities such as physical exercise, sports or hobbies that can relieve stress and anxiety. - Didn't he just make his March madness picks?

Developing new employment skills that can provide a practical and highly effective means of coping and directly address financial difficulties. - CEO Obama

Getting Help

Even with these coping techniques, however, sometimes these problems can seem overwhelming and you may need additional help to get through "rough patches." Fortunately, there are many people and services that can provide help. These include your:

Healthcare provider - Hillary Clinton
Spiritual leader -Rev. Wright
School counselor - Bill Ayers
Community health clinic - Walter Reed

Maybe King Barry should spend a little more time working on the country an a little less time trying to be my therapist.
