One day after I give my support to Scott McInnis; a story breaks that he plagiarized some information for a report which he sold for $300,000. He has lots of excuses why that has occured, I don't like excuses.
I am withdrawing my support for Scott McInnis. I believed him to be an honest upstanding man, recent events have put that into question. I have based my life and this blog on principles and values, I can not support a candidate that appears to have violated one of those values; that of honesty.
I am not endorsing Dan Maes at this point either. The questions regarding his role in illegal campaign contributions, for which he was fined, require for me to look a lot closer at his record prior to any endorsement.

ReplyDeleteI too thought Mc Innis was OK. How strong is the evidence against him? Gene warned us about the potential for Democrats to dig up dirt. I don't know if that's the case here but I do wonder.
It's great to see Ritter's bags packed, good riddence, but now what?
The evidenice against him is pretty damaging...he admitted doing it, so I just can't trust him with leading our state. Even if it is the Dems that dig up the dirt it doesn't matter if there is still dirt to dig up. It frustrates me that politicians don't even try to be open and honest, no matter the party.
ReplyDeleteThe question might be ...Why are the Republicans not looking for the dirt on thier own canidates before they put so much effort and money into a canidate?
