J.J. Ament Endorsment

Bookmark and Share

You get two endorsements today with my endorsement of J. J. Ament for State Treasuer. J.J. seems to possess the business experience it takes to be the manager of Colorado's check book. I like that he focusus on waste in the government and the protection of TABOR. I think he can work well with Scott McInnis as Governor.

I also appreciate that he is from rural Logan County, Colorado. Small town values with business experence is a plus for me.

On a side note: You have to like someone who is wearing a tie and has his picture taken in Proctor, CO (On his website). I used to live in neighboring Crook,CO, many moons ago and I would say that with the addition of the camera man taking the picture, it increased the "village" population by 30%.

  1. Don Ament was a Sunday School Teacher in Crook (I went a couple of times and still remember one of his lessons) and served the State Legislature. He was a good man and I assume J.J. is a relative.

  2. I looked it up and yes J.J. is a relative; he is the son of Don.

  4. I was somewhat active in certain legislative issues, years back. Don Ament was a legend! I will assume that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.

  5. What about all this business with him voting yes on referendum C & D, and supporting bailout companies by putting Colorado tax payers on the line in the event that Citigroup defaults on its TARP loan? I don't know all the facts, that's why I'm asking the question.

Furthermore, I think it's a big mistake to judge a man by the character of his father, as a few have done here.
