Maureen Dowd - You are a flake

I read a column written by Maureen Dowd in the New York Times today. I do that every once and a while just to see what the nonsense they are spilling out, this was a doozy. Maureen believes that if you are a middle aged white guy, you are pretty much a racist. I've been stepping around this topic for a while, frankly because I did not want to be labeled a racist, but no more. Call me what you want but I will not be silent...

Let's start with: I could not give a rats ass what the skin color is of the President of the United States. I will not pretend to like what the President has to say just because of his skin color. If I am not genuine with what I believe, and I curtail what I say, just because I don't want to be perceived as a racist, to me that is racist. It is saying that the President of the United States, while black, has no ability to discern the difference between a disagreement about ideas and hate for his race. So Maureen, are you calling the President of the United States stupid because he is black?

I do not like the ideas and policies of the President. When Joe Wilson called the President a liar, he did not call him a black liar, just a liar. You are making an assumption that because Mr. Wilson is from the south and white that Joe does not like the Presidents ideas because he is black. What does that say about you? Are you a racist against middle aged white guys?

I don't think the President is a stupid man, I do believe he is a dishonest man. While running for office I believe the President was never properly vetted (much like his appointees). He should have been vetted by a media which was not (and still not) doing it's job. They gave President Obama a free pass. There was a lot of hype about how a black man was elected. Using the Maureen Dowd formula, evidently the media needed to assist in the election of a black man because he was not capable of doing it on his own. Wow, how racist is that?

Maureen, let this middle aged, white guy give you some advice....Shut up, and go back to trying to figure out why the N.Y. Times circulation is so poor, that should keep you busy for a while.
