They walk among us, they vote, they get elected and, yes, they procreate! I don't know what can be done about the latter ( think Garofalo) but I've long advocated that a test be given and passed in order to register to vote. I'm not talking about "rocket science", the Bar Exam or anything like that. I would recommend something on the order of high school sophomore level : History, Economics, Civics and critical thinking. I know that Liberals and Democrat politicians wouldn't go for it, as they would lose a considerable amount of their constituency ( in some cases themselves), but our Nation would ultimately be better for it!

ReplyDeleteI made it through most of this but when it came to Pelosi I had to stop as my breakfast was not quite digested yet and I didn't want to put my keyboard and screen at risk . If, as is suggested in this post, there was such a test required to vote, "Milwaukee Dem." would never exist as having been elected to anything! For that matter none of the rest would either.
