Sarah Palin 2010 or 2012?

I read an article about drilling for oil written by Sarah Palin in National Review, and it got me thinking again about the former Governor of Alaska.

How many politicians are out there you would feel comfortable referring to them by only their first name? What I mean is that Sarah has an "air" about her that you feel more comfortable calling her Sarah than say, Mrs. Palin, or Governor Palin. I think it is a small town thing. I lived in several the very small towns in my life; and that is one thing that is true for all of them; the people are friendly and courteous. You can't drive down the road without the driver in every car waving at you. You can't go for a walk or jog without somebody offering you a ride. That is the feeling I get from Sarah.

There was a lot made about Sarah's lack of experience during her recent Vice-Presidential bid. True she did not have the "inside the beltway" experience for the job. Quite frankly, that is something I am looking for in candidates in a federal office. I would rather have a candidate that has not been "trained" by career politicians and lobbyists. I like the idea of a candidate with no ties to the current corruption that is rampant in D.C.

A person that makes the liberals very angry, is defiantly one I would favor in any elected office. If a candidate makes the liberals mad, and call her names, it is because they are afraid of what she represents, which as far as I can tell is honesty, integrity, and moral values. These are things that make liberals very nervous. So if the liberals are mad at a candidate that is one I want.

Another reason I like Sarah Palin is; she is the only politician that my wife has ever shown any interest. Pam (my wife) does not follow politics much because she thinks "they are all crooks and liars anyway, so what does it matter". But she actually takes interest in what Sarah has to say, and in my book that is important. Pam even went as far as writing to Sarah (before she left the Governor's seat) and told her how much she liked her. So if Pam is a fan of Sarah. I am a fan of Sarah.

I do not know Sarah's political plans, I hope she wants to run for the Alaska Senator's seat that is available in 2010 or maybe a shot at the Presidency in 2012. All I know is that we need more like her in public office. I think that if this country is in the same mess that we are in now during the elections of 2010 and 2012 we are going to swing very hard right and I hope Sarah is in on the swing.

  1. I doubt she will run for anything but the money.
She won't interview, she hides behind Facebook.
I blame TEAMSARAH. The bar is set so LOW for Palin, she will never convince the rest she is worthy of anything.
She has a base, she knows she can DO no wrong with them. The base is not large enough to elect her dogcatcher. Please don't site her million on FACEBOOK. The mayor of Newark NJ has 850,000 fans on HIS, big deal. Alot of people are on her FACEBOOK page to see what is going on, gather material and make fun of her.

  2. The fact that her book, as of yet unprinted, has remained #1 in non-fiction, and even #1 among ALL books from time to time, tells me that there are far more people interested in her than a lot of people, such as DEO, thinks. The fact that she is forming her own political non-profit organization, which will be unveiled about the time her book is released, tells me that she is preparing for a run for the presidency in 2012. My bet is that the initial 1.5 million copies of her book will be sold before the end of Nov, and will have to have a second printing, which would make it the most successful political memoir in US history.
