King George III or King Barry I

Bookmark and Share

I was reading the part of the Declaration of Independence about the grievances that our founding fathers had with King George III and I noticed a lot of similarities to today's King Barry I. Let me point out a few...

King George III: He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
King Barry I: He has refused his Constitution of laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

King George III: He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
King Barry I: He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance (See Arizona), unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

King George III: He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
King Barry I: He has endeavored to increase the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; allowing for open boarders for criminals to pass, others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands. (Boarder Security)

King George III: He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
King Barry I: He has obstructed the Justice Department, by refusing to administer election laws. (Black Panthers)

King George III: He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
King Barry I: He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

King George III: He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

King Barry I: He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For subsidizing large corporations. For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment. (bailouts)

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent: (Health Care)
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury: (See Black Panthers)
For transporting criminals inside our countries boarders thus compromising our country's security (Gitmo).

For taking away our liberty, abolishing our most values, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For ignoring the people, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

King George III: He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
King Barry I: He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us unintelligent and waging War against us.

King George III: He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
King Barry I: He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless illegal immigrant, whose known rule of attack, is an undistinguished destruction of all economic, educational, health, and justice systems.

King George III: In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
King Barry I: In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

King George III: Many Americans still felt a kinship with the people of Great Britain, and had appealed in vain to the prominent among them, as well as to Parliament, to convince the King to relax his more objectionable policies toward the colonies. The next section represents disappointment that these attempts had been unsuccessful.
King Barry I: Many Americans still felt a kinship with the Omama administration, and had appealed in vain to the prominent among them, as well as to Congress, to convince the King to relax his more objectionable policies toward the colonies. The next section represents disappointment that these attempts had been unsuccessful.

I know that this is not all encompassing of the injuries that King Barry I has done to this country but it is representative.

It took a Revolutionary war to become a nation and get away from the oppression of a British monarchy. I believe that it will take a war now too, except that this war will not be fought with muskets and soldiers. It will be fought with a ballot box and the will of the American people.

    T-S,
Well done! It's too bad that there are so many who still don't get it!
